GDE MAC OS X Download

An integrated linux environment for bioinformatics and evolutionary analysis based on the Genetic Data Environment (GDE).

Due to many requests the Genetic Data Environment (GDE) was recently ported to MAC OS X by BioLateral (contact Tim Littlejohn with questions about the port) as part of their efforts to bring Unix bioinformatic programs to the Macintosh platform.


The requirements are MacOS X 10.2 (Jaguar) or better, X11 and a few xview libaries. I am using Apple X11.app but it should run under XDarwin with XFree86 4.2.1.1 with a windows manager such as OroborOSX.
